Actress Glória Menezes turned 90 last Saturday, the 19th, and celebrated the date with a cake, with her family. A video published on social media shows Glória blowing out the candles.
The actress had already celebrated her 90th birthday in advance. At the beginning of September, she received a more elaborate party from her family. The details were shown on the social networks of the daughter-in-law, Mocita Fagundes, married to Tarcísio Filho. “Everything was absurdly beautiful, delicate and familiar. Glória was happy! That’s about it”, Mocita wrote at the time.
An iconic face of Brazilian TV, Glória Menezes debuted on soap operas in 1959 and acted in more than 40 Globo productions throughout her career, in addition to working in theater and cinema. Her last role in soap operas was in Totalmente Demais, in 2015. In many of the plots she worked on, Glória acted alongside her husband Tarcísio Meira. They were married for 59 years, until the actor’s death in 2021.
