Luciana Gimenezes reveals ‘silent treatment’ with Sônia Abrão for years

Presenter Luciana Gimenez revealed that she spent years without speaking to fellow broadcaster Sônia Abrão because of the Imprensa Trophy. The businesswoman said in an interview with the program “De Frente com Blogueirinha” that the journalist from “A Tarde é Sua” voted for Hebe Camargo in the Best Presenter category. Luciana also competed in the competition and lost the prize.
“There I got upset. I stopped talking to her for a while. She came on the program [SuperPop, que Luciana apresentava] and I told her: ‘I don’t like you’; Years passed, she went and apologized. After that, she went to SuperPop many times”, he recalls.
The presenter also explained that she received a justification from her colleague. “She preferred to give it to Hebe. I felt unfair. Hebe already had several and was going to get several more, but as I was a beginner and had gained prominence… people can help others. [Meu sucesso] It wasn’t something that came easy. I think Hebe would have understood,” he added.
The occasion took place in 2022. In the edition, the vote was tied between Hebe and Luciana, who debuted on TV in 2001. Silvio Santos, who presented the awards at the time, called Sonia to break the tie and she chose Hebe. The two colleagues from RedeTV! they had already spoken publicly about the situation in April of this year.
